Two ways to train

More ways to help people recover

Learn to help people who're stuck move forward.

Two training pathways. Practical skills. Ongoing support.

Some people can talk about what happened and find their way forward.

Others know exactly what they want to change, yet something still holds them back.

And some simply cannot face telling their story again.

What if you had another way to help?

CaramoCare® offers practical training in the TRIBE Trauma Method®, either as a standalone approach for experienced therapists or alongside Solution-Focused Therapy.

Developed and taught by Dr Sharryn Gardner, a doctor and trauma therapist with decades of clinical experience. Selected exceptional trainers also deliver courses.

Learn the approach. Develop your confidence. Become part of a growing practitioner community.

What Will You Actually Learn?

This isn't a course where you sit through hours of theory and leave wondering how to use it.
You'll explore the thinking behind each approach, see it demonstrated and have opportunities to practise in a supportive learning environment.

Your four-day learning journey

Day 1: Solution Focused foundations
Understand the principles of Solution Focused Therapy and learn how to help people identify strengths, resources and a preferred future.

Day 2: Solution Focused skills in practice
Develop your questioning, listening and conversational skills through demonstrations, exercises and guided practice.

Day 3: Understanding TRIBE
Explore trauma responses, the nervous system and the clinical thinking underpinning TRIBE. Learn about suitability, safety and the structure of the method.

Day 4: Putting TRIBE into practice
Watch demonstrations, build practical skills, receive feedback, and understand the next steps toward safe, competent application.

Already an experienced therapist?
The two-day TRIBE pathway focuses on Days 3 and 4, adapted to your existing knowledge and professional experience.

Small cohorts, with a maximum of 12 participants, create space for questions, feedback and meaningful practice.

Training may include online and face-to-face elements. Exact arrangements are confirmed for each cohort.

Why Train With CaramoCare?

Created by a frontline doctor. Shaped by real clinical experience.

I'm Dr Sharryn Gardner.

I've spent around 30 years working as a doctor, including more than two decades as a consultant in Paediatric Emergency Medicine.

I've also spent over 15 years working in therapy and 7 in trauma recovery.

I've seen what happens when distress goes unrecognised, when people struggle to access help and when the care available doesn't meet their needs.

I developed TRIBE Trauma Method® from that combination of medical and therapeutic experience, with a commitment to making trauma recovery gentler, more accessible, and more practical to deliver.

Today, through CaramoCare®, I'm training other professionals to develop the skills, clinical judgement and confidence to help more people.

Because making a difference shouldn't depend on one person being available to deliver it.

The ambition is simple: make effective trauma recovery accessible to more people, in more places.

Frequently Asked Questions

* Do I need to be a qualified therapist?

The two-day TRIBE programme is designed for practitioners with appropriate existing therapeutic training and experience. The four-day programme welcomes applications from a wider range of caring professionals, subject to suitability. Neither course automatically provides a general qualification to practise psychotherapy.

* Will I be able to use TRIBE immediately after the course?

Yes. Training is the beginning of a competency-based process. Independent use of TRIBE requires ongoing appropriate supervision, demonstrated competence and professional scope.

* What happens after training?

You'll have access to the included supervision and practice-support arrangements. Trainees can progress towards approval for the CaramoCare Practitioner Register bu submission of case reports in independent practice.

* Do I have to offer both therapies together?

No. Solution Focused Therapy and TRIBE are distinct approaches. You'll learn how each may be used independently and when combining approaches might be appropriate.
Is training online or face-to-face?

Delivery may include online and in-person elements. The precise format, location and dates will be provided for each cohort before you commit.

What happens after the first year on the register?
Continued listing is subject to renewal, ongoing eligibility and the published register terms. Renewal fees will be confirmed before enrolment.
